Cupping sets come in three materials. Glass, silicone, plastic. Same suction mechanism, completely different experience.
Glass is traditional. Fire heats the air, cup seals, strong smooth pull. You feel it working. But fire means learning curve, and glass breaks. I dropped one on tile once. Done.
Silicone is the opposite. Squeeze, stick, release. No fire, no pump. Soft so it molds to shoulders or knees. Drop it, no problem. Suction is lighter though. Want deep pressure? Silicone won't get there.
Plastic with hand pump sits between. Attach pump, pull air out, control strength exactly. No fire, no squeezing. Downside: pump is another thing to carry. Cheap sets leak after a few months, suction drifts.
I travel with silicone, use plastic at home for deep work. Glass looks good on shelf, I don't touch it much.
Pick what fits your life. You'll use what doesn't fight you.
